Summer Lovin

So it is really starting to warm up here. It still gets a little chilly at night, so that's a pain because then I have to pack my coat around with me all day, but during the day it gets up to the 80s! And its only January! How insane.I'm gonna die in the summer. More like ridiculous! Anyway it was another good week! Last Monday, Sister A took us shopping as usual. Let me tell ya, she is quite the crack up. She was telling us that she was getting so frustrated with her phone and that it had problems. But then she says, "I just LOVE getting frustrated some times! I makes me feel so ALIVE!" Keep in mind, this woman is the cutest 90 year old you will ever meet. She had some adorable little slipper shoes that the soles had worn out. SO this woman decides to cut the the toes off of flip flops and glue the bottoms to her shoes. Brilliant. haha she makes us so happy. She also has been knitting and crocheting dish rags. She asked if we needed some for our apartment so she went home and brought over a huge bag. She said since we are special we could each take two and that she had this huge bag so that they could get handed out at her funeral! She said we could take two since she was also not planning on dying anytime soon so she has time to make more. Isn't she just adorable!?

We also took J. to singles ward that night. He has a daughter and he wants to stay in our ward, but he also needs to meet some good young people so he has friends with good standards. However, it is such an awkward bunch! He said he felt like he was back in fifth grade, but that it was good to meet some more people. His words, "Ya I'm definitely not looking for a wife here. Do you guys have some sort of online dating site? Ya, I think I'll stick to that." haha so that was really interesting. But he is progressing really well and hopefully is still on track to get baptized this week! We haven't been able to meet with him lately so we might have to push it back a week so he is better prepared. But he asked us last night where he is getting baptized and stuff. He is so adorable and has changed SO much! We are so happy for the spirit in his life and that he is willing to make so many changes. We even had to leave him a little early during church and he still went to all the meetings and texted us later and told us how much he enjoyed it, as usual.

Also we have a new district leader! He has been in our district since the beginning of my mission. I may have already said this, but I just love him to death. We had THE best district meeting I have ever had and it really motivated us instead of making us feel like we don't do enough. He is SO great. He is so adorable.

We had a bit of a rough day this last week :( One of our investigators dropped us:(She was supposed to get baptized on Saturday and we did a special fast for her to get her answer and things were just against us (Satan was working hard) and she said she didn't get her answer and is done taking the lessons but that she will continue to pray and read and hopefully someday she will get her answer through doing those things. Her Fiance told us that she promised to always go to church with him and read together every night, and that's more than he got out of his first wife that he married in the temple. So he doesn't push her but hopefully through those things she will come to the knowledge of the truth. We are still invited to the wedding on Friday though and we will still talk to her and leave spiritual messages and stuff.

So now that we are no longer taking a training hour, we have two hours in the morning that are really hard to fill because NO one really answers their doors and no one is really outside. So one day we felt we should go to an old folks home. By the way, it is THE nicest old folks home I have ever been too. Even nicer than some hotels! Anyway we felt like we should see some of the women there. One of them is on the third floor. I had no idea that the third floor was different cause I have never been up there....Sister W looked at me when the receptionist told us one of the ladies was on the third floor. Then we got in the elevator and Sis W just says, "uh oh, THAT'S THE INSANE ASYLUM!" So we get to the top and someone meets us at the door. They LOCK you in. They have do a combination in order to let us in and out. CREEPY. We walk in and all these old people are just sitting in chairs, ALL DAY, in the same room. So they pointed out the lady we were looking for and we visited her. The poor woman has bumps(like huge warts)all over her body and one of her ears is huge and sags way,way down. It's so sad. But she was ecstatic to see us! She kept almost crying and saying that we were a huge blessing and that God always knew when she needed help the most. We were so happy we went to see her. It was so cool to be able to help her and know that we were there just when she needed us to be. She wants us to come back every week. And there were some crazy people up there, but I guess for her we can suck it up and keep going ;) Just kidding, it wasn't really that bad, but still kinda creepy to think about being locked up in there!

We visited another lady that we felt inspired to at the old folks home, but she was only in the assisted living part. But her testimony was really starting to weaken because she didn't quite understand the kingdoms of glory. She said it was a little pebble in her way and she was really worked up about it! We had never met her before but she explained things to us and we were able to teach her about it and to clear up her worries. She felt so relieved. In her prayer she expressed that it was really a crucial point for her and she was thankful that God sent us to clear up her worries. HOW AWESOME! We were truly inspired to be there and God led us to the certain people he wanted us to see that day.

Also this week we ran into a homeless guy that we have talked to a few times. We passed him and felt like we needed to go back and talk to him again. He really needed us it turns out. However he is SO crazy. He is an alcoholic and is always hammered when we see him and then all he can ever say is "I'm a bad man. I can never change, etc" no matter how much we teach him or tell him, he always says the same thing. But that also might be that he is so drunk that he can never remember what we tell him too. But that was also cool cause he really needed someone to talk too and we were able to teach him more about Christ and the atonement and then we all said a prayer together. We ran into him another day and basically did the same thing too. He just needs good influences I guess.

We also have spent a lot of time with an inactive lady. Long story short, she has had a rough life and is getting kicked out of her home. We got her a blessing from two awesome guys in our ward and I think it really helped her because they also just talked to her for quite a while. They are getting some men gathered up to help her take everything to storage on Tuesday. We also stayed after the blessing and helped her pack up some of her things for as long as we could. We've been doing quite a bit of service this last week, so that's good.

One of the best things about this week is that one of our investigators did get baptized! He is the one who finally got first presidency approval to be baptized. His baptism was super powerful and there were so many people there that we had to hold it in the chapel and everyone had to stand for the ordinance squished into the room to watch. Our mission president baptized him and it was pretty cool to see two huge men just sit there and cry together. Super powerful.

We also got a referral from a less active. She wants us to teach her friend. He is Jewish. We taught him about Christ and kind of cleared up some differences that we have in our religions. He was really receptive and wanted us to teach him more too. So hopefully that pans out well. Plus the less active is also going through a hard time in her life and wants us to go back just to visit her when he isn't there as well. She said she felt a sense of peace from the spirit the minute we came into her house. That's really cool, because I guess we don't really notice the power missionaries can have because we around it all the time. Just seems normal. I'm going to be really sad when I don't have that any longer. It'll be really weird.

One of the best parts about my week was Sunday! We had a guy come to church with his son!We have tried to get this man to church since the beginning of the first transfer with Sis W. He finally came! I think he liked it too :) He only stayed for sacrament because his son was a little hesitant for primary (he's 10). So he said he'll break the ice slowly but they would maybe like to try it again sometime! WOOO! Then we left to the patriarchal blessing for the convert from my first area. It was so awesome. She had us missionaries there because she obviously didn't have family there. We are her family :)It was SO powerful! She is going to be such a powerful impact and tool for God's children. It was so long and it just shows that she is going to accomplish some amazing things. I am so proud of her!
She is such a strong girl.

I've come to the conclusion that watching your investigators learn and grow is kind of like watching your child grow and learn. I feel so proud of them! It's amazing to watch their growth and you just love them all so much. So I feel like I'm watching my children grow up and learn to do things on their own. :) Probably not the same as mother hood, but as close as I'll get for now :) Kind of cool. But ya, it was a super good week! Loved it all :) Hopefully we get some solid investigators pretty soon cause we are kind of in a little slump right now. But we have a lot of people who could be promising soon! :) I love being a missionary. It is THE best :) I know that I'm doing what I need to be and I just want everyone to know the truth of what we speak :) This is God's only and true church. Have a good week!

The Lord Knows Best

This week has been a little rough/slow. We didn't get as much done as we would like to, or have as much success as sometimes, but we are still SO blessed and grateful for the miracles that God is constantly providing. Last Monday we had to say goodbye to our sister training leader. It was her time
to go home, dang it. It was really emotional and we all ended up crying.
My companion and I agreed that it made it feel like our missions were coming to an end or going by really quickly and that we didn't want it to be over. We love being missionaries. Our sister training leader
was pretty sad, but of course we sang her our "Goodbye" song and hopefully it brightened her day :) She even recorded it! Ha Ha. The things we come up with are ridiculous. So it's super crazy, but during transfers our whole zone basically stayed the same. Only one person left but a few areas got split so there are a few more companionships now. We have 28 people in our zone! They are probably going to split our zone next transfer which would also be crazy. There are currently two stakes in our zone but each stake would then be its own zone and every ward would have its own set of missionaries! Crazy. We told one of our ward mission leaders that we were being transferred and he was VERY upset and their family cried!!! We then later told them we were joking and they weren't too happy about that ;) Ha Ha it was too funny. So since it was the beginning of the transfer, our zone leaders offered the chance to give blessings to anyone who would like one. A few of us decided to take advantage of that opportunity and it was really good. It was a really good way to start this transfer off and I really enjoyed my blessing. It gave me some good direction as to what I can do better and what I need to focus on and things that will help me. It was really great and the spirit was really strong. OH and we got a new district leader (the only person that left, was our district leader). He has been in my district from the beginning of my mission.
I LOVE HIM. He is so great and he always makes us feel so good! He's just awesome!
So we are really excited about that too. So we had a good start to our week, but it kind of goes downhill from there for a while. That same day, we had two people fall off date. Remember the old crazy lady? She does not understand that she needs to be baptized. She thinks her baptism into the Catholic church is good enough and that he had the proper priesthood in order to baptize her. She is finally opening up to us and talking more, which is why we are just now finding this all out. She just wants to be baptized so she can go to church with her daughter (who is a member). We try to explain she doesn't have to be baptized to go to church but she doesn't really listen/understand. Soooo we don't know what to do about her, but she was supposed to be baptized on the 25th, and obviously isn't now. We then had another woman fall off date. She was supposed
to get baptized on the 18th, but she didn't come to church. She keeps saying she knows the church is true and that she WANTS to get baptized, but then she just doesn't do anything about it! ARRRG. Then we had two appointments fall through right after all of this. Needless to say, we were a little down and frustrated at this point and didn't quite know what to do. However our zone leaders told us to go out to dinner or ice cream and cheer ourselves up :) We had a young woman (we LOVE her) who was going to come out with us and she decided she wanted to take us to In & Out Burger for dinner. It was fun and it was great. Plus then she came to a lesson with us after and we were able to have a member present! Boo ya. That's the best and it helps so much. So that was great. However, the next day I was sick ALL day. It was rough. I never threw up, but was on the verge, with a pounding migraine all day. ROUGH. We didn't do diddly squat. I slept on and off for most of the day and then later we watched "The Testament" on our tiny DVD player. That was a bummer to be in all day because Wednesday is usually a busy/long day for us and we are able to get a lot done. On Thursday I was feeling a lot better so we went out all day. It was pretty productive! We had someone pull us aside today at one of the apartment complexes. We have talked to him multiple times but he is never interested. However he had a ton of questions for us! He is on a lot of drugs, but he wants to be happy like us and change his life around. We had a really good lesson with him and set up another appointment with him. But he is 20 years old so he goes to the singles ward, therefore, he's not ours and we had to give him to the Elders over that ward. So they now take care of him. But it was awesome for him to come up to us and want to learn more finally! We also had some good lessons that day. We did some service for an old lady that we met last week. We dusted her house and stuff and she was just baffled that we would actually do that FOR FREE. She kept trying to pay us but of course we declined and told her we just want to do what Christ would do. So we are going back this week too :) I think she has good potential. We also taught one of our investigators a great lesson and he
is on date for February 1st! Woohoo! He has been SUCH a miracle. He seriously
is such a different person and he loves the church. He is so excited and he tells us all the time that he feels SO great. He said he has seen a ton of missionaries before but has never talked to them. In his words, "I think you two being beautiful really opened that door for me." We love him and he has been someone we can count on to listen and want to change! So hopefully that continues. He even said the prayer in Sunday School! We were so proud. Imagine it's like being proud of your child when they do something good! ;) We also got some fabulous news that one of our investigator couples
are getting married! YAY! Due to some family things and the fact that Melody doesn't want the wedding to be a big deal, it's just going to be us and the bishop at the wedding...in his office. Crazy girl. But she insists. She doesn't even really want pictures!!!! OY. (FYI if I haven't said, the girl isn't a member and the boy is a divorced father and is a member). Anyway so we are very honored to be a part of their special day! The next day was a bummer too. We knocked all day and no one opened the door. We were so tired and hot so we took a minute to sit down by a little pond and call some people. However, there was also a couple walking by that wanted to rest so they sat by us and started to talk to us. They had been having a lot of spiritual discussions the night before and every question/topic they had talked about came up in our conversation. We ended up teaching the Plan of Salvation and also talked about Joseph Smith a little bit. It was a really good conversation and we also found out that they were former investigators! They haven't been taught in a few years though and they said we could talk to them more! We said a prayer with them and the wife was even crying! We made the comment that it was a sign that we had run into them and answered a lot of the questions they had talked about, and she said she knew it was too! SO, there you have it. The Lord knows best and he put us/them in our path. We NEVER sit down to rest, but we had a phone call to make and we were hot and tired, so we did and look who the Lord gave us. So that was definitely another blessing! We KNOW we were supposed to run into them that day. Lastly, we took the same couple that will be getting married to the mission presidents
fireside on Sunday. I think she enjoyed it, but he really did! We really pushed to get him there but he was glad we had pushed him in the end. She is still unsure about some things and doesn't want to jump into it if she doesn't KNOW 100% that it's what is right. But at the fireside they have recent converts tell their conversion story and I think that was super good for her too hear. She only knows Mormons who have grown up in the church. A convert from my old area was also there, so I had her talk to her a little bit. Speaking of her, she is getting her patriarchal blessing next Sunday, and since her family kicked her out, she wants us to go with her! Another huge honor. I'm so happy for her. She is a great girl and so strong. I'm truly blessed to be having all of these opportunities. So even though we had a few days of knocking with no one answering, and also had to stay in one day, we are SO blessed and it's amazing to see all of these little miracles. I LOVE being a missionary, even though you have some "unrewarding" days, the little things always make up for it :)

Riding "side saddle" on my bike.  Suprisingly, I haven't fallen yet!

No more training!

We have had a pretty good week this week. It was filled with many good lessons and some awesome activities. Last Monday our zone leaders decided that we were going to have a "Nerf war." So we all had to buy Nerf guns last Monday and then we met at a church and played a bunch of games. It was pretty fun, but kinda crazy because you constantly had to stop to pick up ammo! Only Elders would think to do that as a zone activity. Plus we always had to stay with our companions so we had to do everything in teams. But it was still fun to relax and just mess around with our zone.
This week we had zone conference! That means the zone leaders, sister training leaders, and the AP's train us and the mission President and his wife attend. It was a really good meeting and we went over some really good things about goal setting and the standard of excellence and such. Sometimes those meetings can feel like you are never doing enough, but this one was actually really motivating so that was good.

We had some AWESOME lessons this week. We met with a part member family. The dad has been allowing missionaries into his home for ten years. We go over and always share spiritual messages and sometimes full lessons, but he has heard a lot already and we try to do things that will help the whole family without doing the same lessons all the time. Recently he went to California to a wedding of a family member that got married in the temple. He had TONS of questions about being sealed which allowed us to teach the restoration and talk about the priesthood. I have never had such a good lesson with him and it just went really awesome! Then he even came to church this week! WOO! (The family is also less active). So we felt super happy after that lesson.

We had street contacted a woman previously, and we finally made it back to her house while she was home. We were able to teach her the restoration and she prayed at the end. We asked her to pray to know if the things we have told her were true and she said, "Well I already know they are!" We were like UHHHH, WHAT!? AWESOME! But she said she needed some time because she didn't want to rush into anything but that she felt God was telling her something by putting us in her path.

We also have been trying really hard to pair our investigators or potential investigators up with members to fellowship them. We were prompted to take a certain member family to another investigator family we are teaching and they hit it off perfectly! They get along so well and the kids just went off and played and we were kind of able to have a lesson but the children were pretty crazy. But we think this fellowshipping family is going to be absolutely crucial in getting this family to church!

So, our lessons with one of our other investigators have just been amazing. We were prompted to take a new married couple to his lessons and they just clicked. They think alike and have a little bit of the same attitude towards certain things so it's so awesome. But this guy has progressed SO much. He wants to be in a better environment so he quit his job, he wants to be in a rehab group, and he reads the Book of Mormon! PLUS, he LOVED church this past week. He was so funny. He brought his one year old daughter. We had never seen her before because he is divorced. But he brought her and he was laughing and saying, "Wow, I've got a tie, I've got a kid, I'm already a Mormon! So how do I get baptized?" YES, YES, YES! We have to get over a few things with him, and hopefully he will see that he needs to change and give those things up in order to be baptized, but he really has just changed immensely and it is SO amazing to watch that change come over people. HOLY COW. I just love being a missionary SO much!

We also had a lesson with a woman not in our area. The relief society president is friends with her and had her and us over for dinner. She has two kids, and she isn't married. She's really young and she just wants to do what is right. We were prompted to teach her parts of the Plan of Salvation and she sobbed the whole lesson. She really felt the spirit. She came to church and we taught her after church as well. We taught the restoration and then we asked her to pray at the end. She cried during her prayer and said that she had just felt really warm and that she felt a hug was around her. We explained God's love for her and the Holy Ghost and it was amazing.

This week my companion and I also spoke in church! We spoke on "hastening the work." So it was appropriate :) We talked about member missionary work and how they can help and stuff. It went pretty well. The best part of our day though was that we had 7 investigators at church! WHOOOO! We were SO excited. I think all of them had a good experience too. Although it was kind of weird to be "preaching" about missionary work when we had all those investigators there.

We had some other really great experiences this week and tons of good lessons but just way too many to share! This is kind of a shorter letter, sorry. I just have too much detail to be able to share in a way that you will understand in the short amount of time I have to write!

We have been told by our leaders to pray for specific miracles and to be obedient so we can qualify ourselves for them. We have been praying for miracles and we don't always get the miracle we want, but the Lord is constantly providing miracles around every corner. It is so amazing. Especially when you are looking for them each day, they become more and more evident. I love being a missionary and I want to share the gospel with everyone because it makes me so happy :)

Oh, and we had transfer calls and luckily Sister W and I get to stay together!!! We are so excited! So everything will carry on as usual :) Plus, we don't have to go to training meetings anymore! We officially graduated from the training program. Hallelujah! :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Wow it's so weird that it is 2014. At this time next year, I'll STILL be here doing what I'm doing now! It's so crazy.. My past life seems like a dream and I feel like I have been a missionary for years, but I love it :) I love being a missionary, and we have had a great week this week.

To begin, someone paid for my companions' and my groceries. Normally every other week we buy a lot of food and this week was our week that we had to buy a little more because we ran out of the stuff that lasts a little longer. The man behind us told us he wanted to pay for us! We felt so bad because we had so much! We were so blessed and it was just SO sweet of him. He has a son on a mission so whenever they see missionaries at the store, they get in line behind them and pay for their groceries. What a nice guy! We also went to visit a family from my last area and hung out with them for part of our P day last week. We did more energy work and learned a lot of cool things. I just really love that family :) We also picked oranges with Sister A. She is also from my other area; she is the older woman that picks us up to go shopping. She continues to pick us up, and she has oranges at her house, so she took us to pick tons of oranges and take home with us. Too bad I don't like oranges ;) But it was still fun!

We also did some fun things to celebrate the New Year. We bought sparkling cider but we didn't drink it until the next day because we were too tired. We actually went to bed earlier on New Years Eve! haha only at 10 but that was still an extra half hour earlier than when we normally go to bed! So we didn't do much to celebrate that night, however we did go to lunch as a zone at a Chinese Buffet. We all went around and talked about what we were grateful for that year and what our new years resolutions would be. My goal was to try not to be so accident prone, and to eat healthier. Plus of course to be a better missionary.

We had some cool little miracles of God guiding us this past week. We aren't supposed to hand our Gilbert Open House invitations out; the members are. But a few people had asked us for them and the reservations online had already been opened up so we felt obligated to take them one. Our original plan was to ask specific members to take them to specific people, but we didn't have anyone to ask and it was getting too late to wait. So we were on our way to deliver some invitations when we street contacted a woman working in her garage! She turned out to be a member and she was saying that she needed to find out where to get the invitations so she could take some to her neighbors! We got really excited because we were originally taking them to her neighbors. What a blessing that she was there at that specific time and we didn't know her, so we street contacted her and she turned out to be in our ward! She works in the primary so we hadn't really seen her before. So that was really awesome and the member was really excited to invite everyone. We had a few invitations on us (because the ward mission leader keeps them) so we gave them to her. Sounds so simple, but I definitely know that was a blessing from the Lord.

We had a really, really good day this week. We received 4 referrals and we got a ton of return appointments so we were really excited! We also had a lesson with one of our male investigators. We had spent a lot of our day trying to pair our investigators up with specific "fellowshippers" to take to lessons and to really befriend our investigators, so we were able to find a family that really clicked with this guy. They are a newly wed couple and the husband is really analytical/factual just like our investigator is and he was able to answer so many questions that we would not have been able to during the lesson! It was the perfect balance of us teaching, and the member teaching. It was the best lesson I've ever been in I think. So that was super, super awesome.

We also had the awkward experience of a 20 year old young man hugging us! He didn't know the rules, obviously, and as we went to shake his hand, he went for the hug and said, "Eh, I'm just gonna hug you!" Sister W's face was pretty hilarious! Neither of us knew what to do and he was already hugging us as he said it so it was super awkward. We just did those super light, A frame hugs. It's already foreign to think of hugging a guy! haha It was just awkward.

So after we had that super awesome member present lesson, the next day we had THE WORST lesson ever. We taught a young man's teacher/friend at his home and the mother sat in on the lesson and she did AWFUL. She made us teach two lessons and she kept interjecting and telling us that we missed talking about certain things and that we were basically doing it wrong! But she was making it SO complicated and giving too much "deep doctrine." It wasn't super deep, but what we teach is just the basics. It was WAY too much information and we were there for an hour and a half; we ended up cutting her off and just saying we had to leave because it was an absolute train wreck. So now that lady probably thinks we are terrible missionaries because she kept saying we missed things and it was just bad. Sis W and I just kept looking at each other with pained expressions because it was going so bad. After the first lesson when the lady wanted us to teach another one, we instantly knew it would be a bad idea; needless to say, the spirit was not there. She also kept saying that the pamphlets we were using, were wrong. WHICH they were made by Boyd K Packer and in our training with Salt Lake, we just got told that we need to make sure we use them in lessons more often. It was just really ridiculous and Sis W and I were pretty angry about it. But oh well, the guy wasn't interested after that and said he had only come to support his student.

SO yet another bike crash this week. BUT I have to say, this one was NOT my fault. Sister W turned her head to look at something as we were turning a corner and she turned too sharp and hit my back tire which resulted in me face planting/skidding across the ground with my bike on top of me, her bike on top of my bike, and she was just entangled in everything else! Definitely the worst fall yet. My knee and ankle were really skinned and I had blood dripping down my legs and COVERING the bottom of my skirt. We were on our way to pick up a young women to go out with us, but we ended up staying at her house and cleaning up my leg. Sister W had to scrub all the rocks out of my leg and I washed the blood off my skirt. My knee and ankle are really sore and I haven't been able to bike because it reopens the scab each time I bend my knee! haha so it was a rough one and I forgot how bad skinned knees hurt since I haven't had one in so long! haha not since I was a child. So it started to turn green and nasty but one our ward mission leaders made me put stuff that they use on cow udders on my wound. They use it at their house a lot and it helps you not scar too! He had a huge gash in his head and you couldn't even tell because he used that stuff. So he gave it to me to use until it goes away. It's really gross because it softens everything up, but apparently it works. It's called
Bag Balm, and he said he guarantees that all of the people dad works with use it on their cows. So buy some of that stuff for wounds apparently ;) One of the greatest things about our crash though, was the fact that apparently our phone fell out of Sis W's bag during the crash and we didn't notice until 2 hours later. We rushed back and it was still laying in the road! It was banged up, but it still works! Blessings.

One of the best things that happened this week was going to the visitors center with one of our other investigators. She has a member boyfriend and he is the ward clerk or something. We took them to watch the Joseph Smith Restoration video and the spirit was SOOOO strong in that room. I basically cried the whole time even though I have seen the video multiple times and not cried the past few times watching it. Apparently I just needed that reconfirmation that I am supposed to be here and that the church really is true and stuff. It was really awesome to be there and to experience that because missionary work is hard and from what I hear, this is the hardest part of your mission. Which it has been harder so it was really what I needed and probably answered more prayers for me than it did for our investigator! Then on Sunday I got the prompting to bear my testimony and I tried to push it off but of course knew I had too. I did and the spirit has just really been touching my heart these past few days and I've felt it more immensely. It is hard for me to recognize promptings sometimes, so I think this was the Lord's way of telling me to quit second guessing myself and just know to do it. He just had to really throw it in my face for those days to show me I guess.

I also got a HUGE confirmation that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and is true. I have always known this, but I have learned it line upon line, and precept upon precept. I have never had a specific "moment" where I just had a huge feeling or confirmation that it was true. During the movie it talks about the Book of Mormon and during one of the parts, I just had a huge feeling/confirmation that the Book of Mormon is from God and that Joseph Smith was able to translate it. What a cool moment for me to recognize a specific MOMENT and FEELING that it was true.. Like I said, I already knew, but sometimes as humans, we forget and take things for granted. It was a great spiritual week for me.

Well we get transfer calls this next Sunday and I'm really nervous. I would love to stay with Sister W for one more transfer. We finally feel like we are starting to contribute and make progress. The zone leaders said if we keep working as hard as we have been, that we will hopefully stay together. But of course, it doesn't matter what they think, it's what the Lord wants. So we are praying we can stay for one more transfer. I don't want to have to change again. I'm just starting to know people again and it's so exhausting to be in a new area! But wherever I'm supposed to be is where I'll go :) Have a wonderful week everyone!
